Summer 2008
The Byte Size Reboot course was a fitting swan song for Reboot, Red2Green's computer refurbishing project. Eleven learners undertook these short work placements opportunities and, combined with the hard work of eight paid trainees, 40 volunteers and two staff, all helped divert an amazing 40 tonnes of computers away from landfill. Summer 2007

Biotechnology company, Genzyme, helps Red2Green’s trainees prepare for work

Extract: Ten young people in Cambridgeshire will move a step further towards employment thanks to a huge £1000 cheque presented today (20 November) to Tor Docherty, Red2Green’s Chief Executive. The donation comes from Genzyme, a leading biotechnology company with laboratories in the city, and will fund a series of workshops by teaching young adults how to brush up their skills, present their CV and excel in an interview.

At the summer soiree, hosted by Red2Green on 3 July, top chief executives and HR managers will hear, first hand, from people with disabilities about the contribution they could make to their companies.
Red2Green offers new free Stepping Stones short courses in Cambridge

Extract: People looking for a job or further education, or who just want to feel more confident about their skills and potential, are being offered a series of free short courses in Cambridge, run over six weeks in June and July 2007. Experienced tutors will be on hand to give advice and guidance during these friendly, informal sessions, and will be offering the opportunity for one to one advice during an 'open house' which will follow each session.

Carol Lockett of the Trust will be formally presenting the cheque to Karen Bevan, Red2Green's director, on Friday 19 November at 10am.
