Big boost from Norwich and Peterborough Building Society

Red2Green has received a fantastic £12,000 donation from Norwich and Peterborough Building Society. Norwich and Peterborough, which opened its second branch in Cambridge earlier this year, offered to help Red2Greenhouse improve its facilities, and the donation means we can extend the project's existing classroom and improve storage facilities. Building work started on Monday 27 October, and is due to complete before Christmas. Thank you N&P!

Reboot finds new home with a new charity

As of 1 December, Reboot, the computer refurbishing project, will be under the wing of Advice for Life. Reboot dovetails well into Advice for Life's social enterprise division, sitting alongside its i-TRUST project offering technical support and ICT advice to charities and not-for-profit organisations. The switch in ownership coincides with new premises for Reboot, and it has now moved into Eastern Court on Newmarket Road. Red2Green wishes Reboot well and we look forward to following its achievements over the coming years.

Big volunteer 'thank you'

During Volunteers Week (1-7 June) a burst of activity took place across Red2Green to say a big thank you to all our fantastic volunteers. We held a series of events within each of our projects, and every volunteer was presented with a certificate and a specially commissioned 'Red2Green star volunteer' keyring. We also launched our first edition of Volunteer News, profiling our star volunteers, promoting volunteering vacancies and offering accreditation opportunities as well as news from within the organisation itself.
